Principal Infrastructure Engineer – RSK LDE (Land and Development Engineering)
Wigan, UK – full‑time, permanent.
RSK LDE Ltd was formed in 2003 after specialist design engineers joined RSK to strengthen in‑house capabilities. The team now consists of professional civil and structural engineers with extensive experience in the assessment, design and construction of major development projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage, lead, and deliver designs for multiple projects on time and to budget.
- Agree engineering strategies and ensure these are adhered to.
- Negotiate technical approval for adoptable works (S104, S38, S278 etc.).
- Ensure designs comply with current Codes of Practice.
- Maintain effective communication with the design team and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Working knowledge of highway design and ground modelling; drainage design and hydraulic modelling, including sustainable drainage systems; external works levels design, including Part M; industry Codes of Practice and Health and Safety legislation.
- Software package experience: AutoCAD, PDS/XP Site 3D (or similar), Microdrainage Windes/Flow (or similar), Microsoft office packages.
- Ideally 5 – 10 years experience in a similar sector within consultancy.
- Educated to degree or HNC level.
