RSK Land Development and Engineering (LDE) Ltd, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a Principal Infrastructure Engineer/Civil Engineer to join the team in Wigan, UK. This is a full‑time, permanent position. RSK LDE Ltd was formed in 2003 after a number of specialist design engineers joined RSK in order to strengthen its existing in‑house capabilities. It now has a highly experienced team made up of professional civil and structural engineering staff with many years’ experience in the assessment, design and construction of major development projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, lead, and deliver designs for multiple projects on time and to budget.
  • Agree engineering strategies and ensure these are adhered to.
  • Negotiate technical approval for adoptable works (S104, S38, S278 etc.).
  • Ensure designs comply with current Codes of Practice.
  • Maintain effective communication with design team and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Working knowledge of highway design and ground modelling.
  • Drainage design and hydraulic modelling, including sustainable drainage systems.
  • External works levels design, including Part M.
  • Industry Codes of Practice and Health and Safety legislation.

Software package experience:

  • Autocad PDS/XP Site 3D (or similar)
  • Microdrainage Windes/Flow (or similar)
  • Microsoft packages

Ideally 5–10 years experience in a similar sector within Consultancy. Educated to degree or HNC level.
