RSK Group is seeking talented and ambitious individuals to join our Geoscience & Geotechnical Graduate Programme starting on 17th September 2026 for an 18-month fixed-term basis. Locations include Manchester, Hemel Hempstead, Crawley, Coventry, Chesterfield, Bristol, Glasgow or Wakefield. The programme area sits within the service line of testing, inspection, certification and compliance services (TICC). Graduates working in this service area could work with businesses ranging from ground investigation to laboratory analysis, to building/materials integrity. Projects are often driven by regulatory requirements and these services form an important part of a complete end-to-end offering.
During the 18-month programme, you will start with a comprehensive induction, learning about the culture at RSK and gaining an understanding of the businesses within the group. Following the induction, you will be placed with two RSK businesses, spending your first nine months getting involved in a variety of work to support your career path. You will then move into a second rotation with another business for the remaining nine months. You will get to work alongside our broad range of professionals as well as learning from subject matter experts, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills and discover what you are passionate about. During both placements, you will receive excellent training and networking opportunities, as well as having a buddy and assigned mentor to support with your career path.
Geosciences Graduates On This Programme Will Be Able To Experience Numerous Areas Of Geosciences:
- Site investigation intrusive techniques
- Site works fundamentals – site investigation management, soil description and logging, sample scheduling
- Geophysics / Utilities Clearance – experience of the techniques used to avoid or identify extent of buried features
- Geotechnical fundamentals
- Risk assessment fundamentals
- Earthworks and remediation contracts
- Tendering and commercial risk
- Data processing, sample screening / GQRA
- Project management and project finances
Businesses include: RSK Geosciences, Structural Soils, Central Alliance, RemedX, Spencer Quantum, Ian Farmer associates. Locations include: Manchester, Hemel Hempstead, Crawley, Coventry, Chesterfield, Bristol, Glasgow or Wakefield.
Desirable degrees: Geology, Environmental and Engineering Geoscience, Geophysics, Earth sciences, Geotechnical engineering.
Your Career Development Path:
During your placements, you will attend ‘training away days’, developing your transferable skills including essential communication skills, building on your commercial awareness and taking part in career development workshops. Your placement will deliver on-the-job technical-based learning, and you will be guided by your line manager, along with your mentor and support from the early careers team. Throughout the placements, you will be expected to contribute to supporting the business and deliver high-impact results. You will be assessed on your performance and will receive regular feedback. By the end of the scheme, we expect that you will have a clear idea of where you would like to work and, subject to performance, we will support you in finding an internal opportunity within the RSK Group.

Salary And Benefits:
£28,000 per annum. Contributory Pension Scheme. A flexible benefits programme including the option to buy additional holidays, payroll giving, cycle to work and health care plans.
