Envirolab, a member of RSK Group, have an opportunity for an experienced Van Driver to join their team based in Hyde, Greater Manchester, UK. Envirolab is an analytical laboratory with an outstanding track record for delivering analysis competitively and on time. The company provides environmental analytical services predominately of soil and groundwater samples.

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering sample containers and collecting samples to and from offices and site
  • Compiling sample containers to meet client requests
  • Planning delivery/collection routes in association with the Client Services and Admin Supervisor
  • Liaising with the Client Services and Admin Supervisor to advise on any problems meeting agreed routes, within the confines of the Driving Policy
  • Maintaining a minimum stock of sample containers in vehicles
  • Delivering an efficient and courteous service to clients, ensuring that appropriate PPE is worn at all times

Other responsibilities:

  • When delivery and collection duties are light, assist in the laboratory where necessary
  • Work within the confines of Envirolab's safety policy paying due regard to the requirements for protective clothing at all times
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the laboratory
  • Carry out regular SHEMS inspections

Person specification:

  • Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 points
  • Previous experience driving a long wheel base van

Salary and benefits:

  • Salary £26,437 dependant on experience
