Job Description:
FR Consultants, a specialist fire safety and façade-risk consultancy within the RSK Group, is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a remote role offering the flexibility to work from home while staying actively involved in project delivery. Regular travel to clustered project sites within designated regions is required, with approximately two nights away from home per week – fully expensed.
You’ll take the lead on the commercial management of façade remediation projects, working across a range of sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Quantity Surveyor who enjoys the autonomy of remote working while playing a key role in the successful delivery of technically challenging schemes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage cost planning, estimating, and budgeting for multiple projects
Prepare tender documentation and manage procurement processes
Monitor and report on project costs, risks, and cash flow
Manage interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
Provide contract advice and support contract administration (JCT/NEC)
About You
MRICS qualified or equivalent experience (working toward MRICS also considered)
Proven background in quantity surveying
Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
Strong communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills
Comfortable working independently with a high level of personal accountability
Willing to travel regularly with overnight stays
Full UK driving licence and access to a car
