RSK Biocensus, an award-winning CIEEM company and part of the RSK Group, is recruiting for Principal Ecological Consultants to join their growing UK ecology team. This role is permanent and full-time, with part-time work patterns considered in the longer term. This vacancy will involve mixed working with home and office attendance in one of RSK Biocensus' nationwide office locations.

Key Responsibilities
- Principal Consultants have a key role within RSK Biocensus, winning work, providing leadership, technical advice and training, and leading by example.
- Self-motivated and proactive, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing major projects from commencement to completion and close-out.
- You will develop client relationships to ensure tender opportunities come into the business, based on successful delivery of previous tenders and projects.
- You will undertake all work with an appropriate level of care and attention, compliant with RSK procedures and within agreed budgets and timescales.
- Providing leadership, direction and advice, acting at all times with professional integrity, and exercising sound professional judgment within (and recognising the limits of) your competence.
- Taking a proactive role in mentoring staff towards their full potential, leading by example, and supporting a quality-led culture.
- Managing your workload, giving priority to the tasks that need to be completed first.
- Displaying a commitment to the work that is produced, promoting RSK in a positive light to clients and competitors, and building client relationships through this.
Person Specification
- 1st Degree in relevant discipline or vocational qualification.
- Specific relevant years experience since graduation (typically 10 years).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Species specific personal licences are desirable.
- Full membership with CIEEM desirable. Abide by CIEEM’s Code of Professional Conduct.
- Working towards Chartership (CEcol unless CEnv has more relevance).
