Ian Farmer Associates (1998) Ltd, a member of RSK Group Ltd, is a geotechnical ground investigation company. Due to recent expansion and increasing workload an exciting opportunity has become available for a Stores Person to join the team in our UKAS accredited geotechnical soil and materials laboratory in Washington, UK.
Suitable candidates will need to be able to demonstrate previous relevant experience in this field.
Key roles and responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Sample receipt, storage and disposal.
- Maintaining accurate records of samples stored.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
- Ensuring samples are stored correctly to avoid deterioration.
- Emailing chain of custody to clients.
Required experience
- 5+ GCSEs including English, Maths and Science.
- Previous experience in a store is advantageous.
- Good numeracy and literacy: able to write clearly and accurately.
- A good eye for detail, diligent in following procedures.
- Good IT skills, especially the use of MS Excel.
There will be lots of manual handling involved in the role and will require moving heavy items on a frequent basis.

Salary and benefits:
- Salary up to £27,800 depending on experience 37.5 hour week.
