Centara Ltd are a surveying business working for a variety of prestigious clients throughout the UK. We are currently looking to expand our survey team with the addition of a CAD Technician. We are based in Normanton, West Yorkshire.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide CAD support to the Geospatial team, highly proficient in CAD based software to aid with the production of detailed dimensional plans, elevations, sections & survey drawings for:
    • Topographical & Terrain Surveys
    • Measured Buildings
    • Underground Utilities
    • Earthwork's & Volumetric Survey Analysis
    • Photogrammetry & Drone Data
  • The use of Point Cloud Data from Laser Scanning / Aerial Mapping.
  • To provide drafted survey data and to accurately produce survey drawings to present to clients or designers.
  • Ensure that drawings are in compliance with company policies & Gridmark QA procedures.
  • Liaise with other CAD/survey/design team members.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the civil engineering & construction industry.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn and understand new surveying/software and adapt.
  • Producing or amending drawings accurately and efficiently according to the specification brief.
  • Support continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring that drawings are clear, consistent, and accurate.
  • Adherence to our ISO 9001 quality standards and processes by ensuring all drawings are saved in the correct locations, with correct numbering and ensuring the necessary company procedures are followed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1-2 years’ experience ideally.
  • Industry Background: Geospatial / Land / Civil / Architectural / Highways.
  • Drawing experience of drainage / water system designs / MEP.
  • Autocad & n4ce (essential), Civils 3D & Revit.
  • Experience of applying CAD Standards / Quality Standards.
