The purpose of the role is to strengthen TWPL’s Decision Support Tool capability by combining technical excellence, data analytics, and client consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and validate decision models — value frameworks, risk models, lifecycle costing, constrained portfolio optimisation — ensuring they’re technically sound, practical to use, and aligned to each client’s strategic context.
  • Prepare, cleanse and structure data with clients; define minimum viable datasets; establish repeatable data pipelines and quality checks that enable robust insights.
  • Design scenario and sensitivity analyses that help executives see trade-offs clearly and make confident, defensible decisions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional client workshops that bring together engineering, finance, operations and leadership teams to build shared understanding, strengthen consensus, and secure commitment to decisions.
  • Design and deliver high-quality training — onboarding, analyst deep dives, admin training, and train-the-trainer pathways — building competent users who understand not just how to use DST, but why it works.
  • Create practical exercises, guides and assessments that support learning and adoption.
  • Support the Woodhouse Academy, embedding DST into wider capability-building programmes.
  • Gather structured feedback from clients and consultants; convert insights into user stories, acceptance criteria, and clear requirements that improve usability, performance, and value delivery.
  • Participate in testing and release validation, making sure each update is dependable and grounded in real-world use cases.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation — configuration guides, release notes, integration instructions, and knowledge-base content.
  • Build compelling presales assets — demo environments, white papers, case studies, ROI narratives — and act as a trusted technical voice in proposals and discovery calls.
  • Develop dashboards and BI outputs that communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in industry events and user groups — share stories, lessons, and best practices that showcase DST’s credibility and expand its user community.

Person Specification:

  • Ideally 4 to 7 years in technical consulting or product specialist roles within analytics, asset management, or decision support, ideally in B2B or professional services.
  • Proven configuration of decision or investment models: lifecycle cost modelling; risk and consequence analysis; portfolio constraints; scenario and sensitivity analysis.
  • Hands-on data skills: advanced Excel; ideally also practical experience in SQL, Python, R or SAS.
  • Experience preparing, cleansing, and validating data for modelling and BI.

Desirables:

  • Familiarity with the SALVO methodology and DST Evaluator Suite software for structured, value-based decision-making.
  • Experience with EAM systems (Maximo, SAP).
