Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Support β Provide expert commercial support to project teams, maintaining accurate commercial records and ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations.
- Cost Management β Oversee cost control for raw materials and construction activities, ensuring projects remain within budget. This includes measuring, quantifying, and forecasting costs across a range of civil engineering works.
- Stakeholder Liaison β Act as a key point of contact with clients, subcontractors, and external stakeholders. Manage commercial discussions including variations, claims, additional payments, and ensure timely submission of relevant information to finance.
- Reporting & Analysis β Prepare and present detailed monthly financial reports, including cashflow forecasts and earned value analysis.
- Risk & Opportunity Management β Maintain and update project risk and opportunities schedules, identifying potential commercial risks and developing clear mitigation strategies.
- Team Leadership & Development β Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team, promoting collaboration and high performance. Assist with recruitment, training, and overall development of staff within the Commercial Department.
- Compliance & Professional Development β Participate in required training, follow RSK's risk assessment procedures, and adhere to all company policies, including Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity, and Anti-Fraud policies.
Who Weβre Looking For
- Experience in earthworks, drainage, and water projects (Desirable)
- Background in both commercial and private development sectors
- Valid CSCS Card
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and adapt to project demands
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
- A natural problem solver with a keen eye for detail
