Position Overview
RSK Raw part of the RSK Group has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Environmental Technician to join our team in Kingsclere, Newbury, UK. RSK RAW offers multi-disciplinary environmental protection and risk reduction services to a wide range of industries and clients across the UK, and is a specialist in the provision of spill response, contamination investigation and remediation projects.
Responsibilities
- Environmental spill response to a variety of sites.
- Perform general groundworks and construction works alongside colleagues.
- Conduct fuel tank inspections.
- Support and lead additional fieldwork, including installation and maintenance of site equipment, and supervise subcontractors.
- Maintain and/or calibrate equipment and vehicles at offices.
- Manage stock and waste.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate site notes.
- Demonstrate excellent time management, organisational and communication skills.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with current clients and other stakeholders by ensuring a high standard of work and presentation.
- Occasionally undertake additional work necessary to meet business needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience; experience in spill response or pollution control industry is desirable but other relevant experience will be considered.
- A full, clean driving licence (essential).
- Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel (essential).
- Utilities, civils or construction site experience (desirable).
- Experience or certification in operating an excavator or dumper (desirable).
- Basic project management experience (desirable).
- BSc in a relevant environmental field (desirable).
Salary and Benefits
- Salary up to £33,000 depending on experience.
