RSK Geosciences is seeking a motivated Geo‑Environmental Engineer to join our growing team in Tunbridge Wells, UK. This is a full‑time, permanent role offering excellent development opportunities within a leading multidisciplinary environmental consultancy.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage and support Phase I and Phase II geo‑environmental ground investigations, with senior guidance as required, including preparation of factual and interpretive reports.
- Undertake on‑site investigations using a range of intrusive techniques.
- Complete environmental monitoring visits and produce associated reports.
- Conduct incident response visits and documentation.
- Perform soil logging in accordance with current UK standards and prepare laboratory schedules.
Qualifications
- BSc in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline (MSc desirable).
- Working towards Chartered status with a relevant professional body.
- Typically 1–5 years' experience in geo‑environmental or geotechnical work.
- Strong understanding of geology, ground investigation practices, contaminated land and geotechnics.
- Basic awareness of planning legislation.
- Ability to complete factual and interpretive assessments to a competent level.
- Experience working within a multi‑disciplinary consultancy environment.
- Proven ability to manage time, resources and budgets effectively.
- Full UK driving licence.
