WRc are actively recruiting for a Junior Assessment Consultant to join the team, to help support the delivery and drive awareness of WRc Approved - (Water Industry - Engineering & Standards). This is a full time (37 hrs pw), hybrid role based at our office in Swindon. You will be required to come into the office on an adhoc basis, generally at least once a fortnight. You must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel. The role will involve travel across the UK and Internationally.
Responsibilities include:
- Support to drive approvals through the internal processes, obtaining and documenting all relevant data from the suppliers to reduce the approval process time for the client.
- Act as a generalist to help support the technical specialist in creating proposals for clients.
- Support the undertaking of audits of manufacturing facilities to assess the quality and repeatability of production, both nationally and internationally, with an ambition to eventually lead audits.
- Support the undertaking of witness testing of products in line with product standards, specifications and recognised test procedures, with an ambition to eventually lead audits.
- Support the undertaking of audits of product installation in line with manufacturer recommendations and industry standards with an ambition to eventually lead audits.
- Support the technical experts in understanding and addressing client needs when designing solutions, while ensuring they meet agreed standards and best practices.
Person Specification:
- Motivated and proactive to drive approvals forward.
- Strong stakeholder/client management and engagement skills.
- Educated to undergraduate degree level in a science or engineering is preferable.
- Background in the water industry, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, civil engineering or design engineering is preferable.
- Full UK manual driving license with access to own vehicle.
