TechnikGS are recruiting for an Estimator to join the team based in Runcorn, Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an appropriately qualified and experienced Estimator to join our specialist geotechnical contractor TechnikGS. We are looking for a person to join us and work alongside our Pre-Construction and Operations team. This is a permanent, full time position.
If you have a degree in engineering, construction, geology or similar and/or previous estimating experience, ideally in the piling sector, with the ambition to make a difference, we would like to talk to you.
TechnikGS are a mini and micropiling contractor who specialise in restricted access and challenging ground conditions projects. Driven, drilled and rotary bored piles are installed using mini piling rig working in any sector across the whole of the UK.
Responsibilities:- Liaise with Clients and Engineers at the preconstruction stage.
- Interpretation of engineer's drawings, specification and ground investigation information to prepare detailed and precise cost estimates.
- Work closely with the operational team to develop the optimal solutions and undertake project handovers on award.
- Client engagement and follow-up calls for quotations submitted.
- Sourcing and procurement of materials.
- Project financial management – assessment of project costs.
- Full time (office based with site visits).
- Estimating experience in piling or ground engineering.
- Degree in engineering, construction, geology or similar, would be desirable.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
