Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Consultants – All Grades (Consultant to Associate Director) – Renewable Energy and Sustainability

Are you passionate about renewable energy and committed to achieving the UK\’s net–zero goals by 2050? Whether you\’re an upcoming Consultant or an established Associate Director, RSK Environment wants to hear from you.

As one of the UK\’s leading environmental consultancies, RSK Environment is expanding our Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team to support major renewable energy and infrastructure projects across the UK. We\’re welcoming applicants from anywhere in the UK to join any of our regional teams, with remote and flexible working options available.

We\’re looking for EIA professionals at all career stages to support the delivery of some of the most significant and complex renewable energy schemes in the UK, including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) and other major planning applications. This is your opportunity to develop your career while contributing to a more sustainable future.

Roles Available

We are currently hiring at the following levels:

  • EIA Consultant (2+ years of experience)
  • Senior EIA Consultant
  • Principal EIA Consultant
  • Associate Director of EIA

No matter your level, your work will help shape the UK\’s energy future while supporting professional growth within a thriving, supportive, and inclusive consultancy.

Key Responsibilities (Dependent on Level):

  • Support or lead EIAs for renewable energy projects, guiding them through planning, permitting, and consultation processes.
  • Produce or oversee high–quality environmental deliverables, including Environmental Statements, scoping reports, and technical assessments.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and stakeholders, contributing to business development and proposal writing.
  • Provide strategic input on environmental regulations, planning policy, and sustainability practices.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • Lead multi–disciplinary project teams, manage budgets, and deliver to deadlines (Senior grades and above).

What We\’re Looking For:

  • Relevant experience in EIA or environmental consultancy appropriate to your grade level.
  • BSc in an environmental or related discipline (MSc in EIA or Environmental Management is desirable).
  • Membership of IEMA or equivalent; chartered status or working towards it is an advantage.
  • Passion for sustainability and renewable energy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational, teamwork, and problem–solving abilities.
