The Vacancy

Location: Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff, Boxworth, Helsby, and Chester.

Programme Structure: During the 18-month programme, you will start with a comprehensive induction, learning about the culture at RSK and gaining an understanding of the businesses within the group. Following the induction, you will be placed into an RSK business, spending your first nine months getting involved in a variety of work to support your career path. You will then move into a second rotation with another business for the remaining nine months. You will work alongside a broad range of professionals and learn from subject matter experts, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills and discover your passions.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the coordination of technical teams
• Writing reports for clients
• Desk-based research
• Conducting surveys for protected species e.g. Great crested newts, bats, and reptiles
• Analysis and interpretation of tender and project data
• Field sampling studies for monitoring pesticides
• Sustainability audits
• Hands-on experience in habitat management

Desirable Degrees: Environmental Sciences, Biology, Sustainability, Ecology, Geography.

Your Career Development Path: During your placements, you will attend ‘training away days’, developing transferable skills including essential communication skills, building on your commercial awareness, and participating in career development workshops. Your placement will deliver on-the-job technical-based learning, guided by your line manager, mentor, and support from the early careers team. You will be expected to contribute to supporting the business and deliver high-impact results.

• £26,208 per annum
