EDP is seeking an experienced Environment, Health Safety (EHS) Consultant to join our Project Services Team, delivering high-quality EHS consultancy to a diverse range of clients across the UK and internationally. Reporting to the Business Director, this home-based role involves regular travel and overnight stays, supporting clients across both long-term programmes and shorter, targeted consultancy assignments. You will work closely with operational teams, senior leadership and boards to provide pragmatic, high-impact EHS solutions, helping clients achieve compliance, improve performance, and embed best practice.
Location: Home-based, UK-wide travel (primarily London South East), occasional international travel
Salary: 50,000 + Car Allowance
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver EHS consultancy projects effectively and to a high professional standard.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, understanding objectives and tailoring solutions accordingly.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of EDP's internal systems, processes and service delivery.
- Support business development through proposals, presentations and client meetings.
- Clearly articulate EDP's value proposition to clients and stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring outputs are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client needs.
Essential Competence Experience:
- Minimum 4 years experience within EHS consultancy or professional services.
- Experience delivering risk assessments, compliance audits, and fire risk assessments across multi-site organisations.
- Strong project management skills and ability to translate client needs into effective delivery plans.
- Proven ability to communicate, influence and present credibly at all organisational levels, including executive leadership.
- Experience in multi-stakeholder and commercially driven environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally.
Qualifications Memberships:
- Graduate IOSH membership or MIIRSM with up-to-date CPD.
- Practitioner-level IEMA membership.
- EHS auditing qualifications (Lead Auditor desirable).
- Experience implementing and supporting ISO ***** and ISO ***** across multi-site organisations.
