Economics and Policy Consultant Graduate
RSK Group offers a graduate programme in economics and policy evaluation. The team works with public sector clients to provide evidence for government policy making and public investment decisions. You will participate in on-the-job learning and structured training, with opportunities for career progression within the company.
Responsibilities
- Maintain RSK\’s high level of service and deliver timely, quality research outputs to clients.
- Work on small to medium sized consultancy projects, including interviewing, data analysis and managing surveys.
- Contribute to reports and deliverables, draft reports, and produce charts and maps using software you will be trained on.
- Support your own career development plan, set personal objectives, market your skills internally to proposal managers and externally to clients, and achieve individual performance targets (utilisation and business development).
- Collaborate with colleagues to devise and implement a business development plan, using wider RSK Marketing and Business Development resources.
- Assist with proposal responses to tender specifications issued by government clients in a timely and robust manner.
- Develop client relationships and aim for positive client testimonials for high-quality work.
- Mentor and coach junior staff as required, supporting the team and learning ethos.

Confidence, attention to detail, and precision are highly regarded attributes. A strong interest in research and analytics is essential, as the role involves both quantitative and qualitative data analysis in support of economic studies. You will acquire experience in project budget development, task coordination, and comprehensive reporting, in collaboration with Senior Consultants. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required. We expect a rigorous analytical approach from the outset.
Entry Requirements
112 UCAS points across 3 A Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification, or 104 UCAS points across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level); a predicted/obtained honours degree in a research-related field.
