We're looking for an Assistant Ecological Consultant to join our growing ecology team, working across a variety of project locations based around Leeds. This role is ideal for those just starting their ecology careers who are looking to develop their skills and pursue a consultancy career.
Responsibilities
- Undertaking a range of ecological field surveys (including habitat and protected species surveys), supported by colleagues until able to do independently
- Collecting, analysing, and interpreting survey data to inform project outcomes
- Preparing and contributing to technical reports, such as PEAs, EcIAs and species‑specific survey reports
- Supporting the coordination and delivery of projects, ensuring work is completed to programme and budget
- Liaising with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders under the guidance of senior staff
- Ensuring compliance with wildlife legislation, policy, and best practice guidance
