Fortia Insight, part of the renowned RSK Group – the UK's largest provider of environmental and sustainability consulting services – is seeking a senior consultant to join our established and growing energy and environment evaluation team on a full‑time permanent basis. To be based at one of our offices across the UK: Belfast, Bristol, Cambridge, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver monitoring and evaluation projects, including designing theories of change and evaluation frameworks.
- Manage a portfolio of work and junior team members.
- Ensure high‑quality client service through effective communication and creative problem‑solving.
- Contribute to business development and bid writing.
- Collaborate with colleagues to refine and develop services.
- Design and deliver research, monitoring and evaluation services.
- Managing projects and junior staff.
- Generating new business and contributing to bids.
- Supporting service development and innovation.
Qualifications
- Degree in any Social Science, Science, Humanities or Business.
- Experience of policy and programme evaluation.
- Experience of carrying out research and evaluation of energy and/or environmental programmes.
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Working knowledge of HM Treasury Magenta Book, Green Book, and Aqua Book guidance.
- Proven project delivery and business development success.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (R or Python desirable).
- Strong written communication and report writing skills.
- Self‑motivated, able to manage workload and priorities independently.
