The RSK Group are looking for a Finance Apprentice to join their central team. Training will be full time in the Helsby (WA6 0AR) office, and once trained you will be given the opportunity to work from home as well as in the office. This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week with 1 day study day per week.
The Helsby-based Central Accounting Services Team delivers transactional accounting, period-end close and compliance reporting services for a large number of Group businesses (currently c. 60) located throughout the UK and Europe. The RSK Group is one of Europe’s fastest growing environmental, geotechnical and contaminated land consultancies, with offices in the UK, Europe and across the world. It provides a range of services for thousands of clients within the property, manufacturing, oil, gas and energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Process supplier invoices and employee expenses onto the paperless automated accounts system for multiple currency databases
- Checking expense claim receipts against the company expense policy and identifying VAT to reclaim in accordance with HMRC guidelines
- Reviewing CIS deductions and completing returns
- Dealing with supplier queries and requests for payment
- Verification of supplier bank details
- Processing weekly supplier and expense payment runs
- Minimum of 5 GCSE Grades A* to C (or equivalent) including Maths and English
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to analyse and interpret data

- £16,000 to £22,000 plus sponsorship to study the AAT Accounting qualification on the Government Apprenticeship Scheme (day release)
