WRc is seeking a Wastewater Hydraulic Network Modeller to join their Technical Consulting Team. This is a hybrid role, offering flexible working hours based on a 37-hour week, Monday to Friday. The role will support the Head of Wastewater Strategy and the growing WRc modelling team in delivering exceptional solutions for the wastewater sector. You will bring ideas, drive, and energy and be highly capable of engaging with clients to deliver solutions that meet their requirements.
You will complement the existing team’s domain knowledge with your technical skills and experience. Your main focus will be on project delivery to a wide portfolio of project opportunities, including existing UK framework contracts but also novel one-off projects both in the UK and overseas. This typically involves undertaking feasibility studies/projects using computer modelling, statistical modelling, GIS and data analysis to support operational and environmental recommendations or other interventions.

Person Specification:
You will have proven previous experience in the water sector focused on wastewater network modelling, asset management, drainage planning and data analytics. In addition, you will be able to highlight experience associated with the future challenges that face the water industry and how we may tackle them.
You will:
- Be educated to degree level or above, in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrate strong domain knowledge and technical skills within the wastewater environment.
- Have an inquisitive and logical approach to problem-solving.
- Be an expert user of InfoWorks ICM modelling software.
- Experience of water quality modelling would be an advantage.
- Be proficient in use of GIS, including software such as QGIS and/or ArcGIS.
- Have skills and experience in one or more of the following: optimisation software, FME, programming languages such as Python and SQL, and/or legacy languages such as Ruby and VBA.
