The Keegans Group are looking for a Divisional Director of Fire Safety within the Compliance and Safety Team. We provide fire safety support and advice and assist in the delivery of appropriate fire safety advice.

This is a full time/permanent position in London and operates a Hybrid model.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Marketing Team with the preparation and submission of tenders and fee proposals including the preparation and review of technical responses and fees.
- Leading on business development including direct engagement with existing and perspective clients in relation to fire safety and fire engineering approaches in respect of building works to new and existing buildings.
- Attend industry events and awards representing Keegans/ECD and the wider RSK Group.
- Actively seek out opportunities to secure new business with existing and new clients through networking and collaborative working.
- Manage the financial performance of the Fire Safety Division including preparing monthly financial reporting in relation to fee income and the management of direct costs. Reporting on resource requirements etc.
- Responsible for the completion of the Quarterly Board reports.
- Attend weekly Senior Management Team Meetings.
- Manage the timely and accurate issuing of invoices in line with Company Requirements.
- Support the Managing Director with the development of annual budgets and resource planning including development of Divisional Goals and Objectives.
- Responsible for the maintenance and development of the QMA process and work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team to retain QMS and other Corporate Registrations including BAFE, IFE and IFSM.
- Lead the Building Safety Working Group and act as the lead point of contact for the Building a Safer Future Champion status.
- Responsible for the management and development of direct reports including managing performance.
- Undertaking appraisals and preparing personal development plan identifying relevant training needs.
- Manging your own CPD requirements including identifying significant developments within the industry including changes to legislation, best practise and the use of systems and tools to improve the efficiency of the division.
- Mentoring and developing junior team members including progression to achieve professional member status.
- Undertake peer reviews of technical fire safety related documents, including PAS 9980 FRAEW and PAS 79 FRA assessments providing feedback and commentary prior to issue.
- Undertake specialist fire safety commissions including carrying out site inspections and authoring technical reports providing feedback to clients and their representatives as required.
- Acting as Project Fire Engineer Attend Design Team Meetings and actively engage in the design process providing guidance and support to the design team.
- Undertake Design reviews and comment on statutory compliance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant Fire Safety Engineering Degree such as BSc MEng or MSc
- Incorporated or Chartered Engineer preferred or working towards
- Membership of IFE (Member) preferred or working towards
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management role
- Strong commercial focus
