Binnies UK, part of the RSK Group, is recruiting for Engineering Managers to lead engineering teams within our Delivery team.

The engineering teams deliver innovative engineering solutions for projects across the UK within our frameworks. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering solutions to meet scope, cost, and schedule requirements. The ability to travel to various offices and project sites is essential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure health and safety considerations are prioritized in design development.
  • Plan, execute, monitor, and control engineering outputs for projects concerning scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communication, risk, and stakeholder management.
  • Manage change control processes and detailed design programs.
  • Balance the needs of multiple projects effectively.
  • Provide leadership to project engineering teams, overseeing technical coordination and multidisciplinary outputs within a digital environment.
  • Coordinate with internal and external project team members, including procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Participate in or lead client meetings.
  • Ensure the engineering team understands and applies relevant quality systems, design guides, standards, codes, and company policies.
  • Support continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Assist in business development or pursuit activities as needed.
  • Oversee performance management, mentoring, recognition, learning, development, and corrective actions within the team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Several years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with NEC3/4 PSC project management or contract administration.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and driving positive change.
  • Motivated to deliver engineering solutions in Water, Wastewater, and Sludge Treatment projects.
  • Previous experience as a technical engineering lead on projects.
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle record searches, as per legal and regulatory standards.
  • Experience working in a Design & Build environment with partnering contractors.
  • Good understanding of digital engineering and its application in project delivery.
