Binnies, an RSK company, is seeking experienced Chartered Engineers to join our esteemed Flood, Coast & Maritime team. With multiple UK locations, including Chester, Swansea, Birmingham, Bristol, and Bradford-on-Avon, you will work on diverse flood and coastal projects. This role offers leadership opportunities in multidisciplinary teams and impactful projects for clients such as Natural Resources Wales, the Environment Agency, and local authorities. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical delivery of flood risk management, coastal adaptation, and water resource projects.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams to produce high-quality, client-specified deliverables within budget and schedule.
  • Work on Flood Risk and Flood Consequence Assessments, Drainage Strategies, Flood Risk Management Schemes, and SUDS designs.
  • Mentor junior engineers and graduates towards professional qualifications.
  • Collaborate with Delivery and Project Managers for smooth project execution and commercial success.
  • Support innovative solutions in river restoration, drainage, and sustainable infrastructure.
  • Handle projects with contract values from Β£50k to Β£500k.
  • Possess a background in Civil Engineering, Water & Environmental Management, or related fields.
  • Hold a professional qualification with ICE, CIWEM, or similar.
  • Experience in flood and coast sector scheme design and appraisal.
  • Proven leadership in multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality, timely, within-budget results.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and presenting technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with NEC PSC contracts and project change management.
  • Experience in developing business cases using FCERM Appraisal Guidance.
  • Focus on sustainable, natural resource-friendly solutions supporting net zero goals.
  • Experience with site construction to improve design buildability.
