The Geosciences team delivers consultancy and design services to a wide range of external clients, including engineers, house-builders, oil companies and local authorities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead environmental or engineering projects.
- Design, supervise and manage site investigations for geo-environmental and/or geotechnical assessments.
- Conduct basic geotechnical testing and assess constraints and foundation design.
- Prepare tenders and fee proposals.
- Apply knowledge of contaminated land and planning legislation in Scotland and elsewhere in the UK.
Qualifications and Experience:
- BSc degree level in Geology, Chemistry, Civil Engineering or a related subject.
- MSc in land contamination, hydrogeology, engineering geology, geotechnical engineering or contaminated land (preferable, not essential).
- Chartered Geologist, Scientist or Engineer.
- Full UK driving licence.
