The Geosciences division within RSK Group Ltd is seeking an Environmental Manager to join the team in Crawley, UK. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Production of environmental management plans including Pollution Prevention and Surface Water Management Plans for construction sites
- Auditing construction sites for compliance with Surface Water Management Plans
- Advising clients on meeting UK regulatory requirements for Surface Water Management and associated waste permits/exemptions
- Liaison with regulators including the Environment Agency/National Resources Wales
- Response/management of environmental incidents including fuel/oil spills, silt discharges, and effluent discharges
- Advice and on-site training of clients on issues including ecology, contamination and waste management
- Production of quotations/tenders for new projects
- Management of clients and projects
Person specification
- There are opportunities for individuals with between 2 and 10 years minimum experience in the environmental sector
- Able to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy
- Able to work closely and confidently with clients and regulators
- A track record in managing time and resources effectively and within budget
- Full UK driving licence
