Geosciences division within RSK Group Ltd, is one of the UK’s largest environmental consultancies. RSK now has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Consultant to join the growing team in Crawley, UK. Working alongside an experienced team you will get involved with a vast array of development projects. This is a hybrid working role, where you will need to work from the office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Production of environmental management plans including Pollution Prevention and Surface Water Management Plans for construction sites
  • Auditing construction sites for compliance with Surface Water Management Plans
  • Advising clients on meeting UK regulatory requirements for Surface Water Management and associated waste permits/exemptions
  • Liaison with regulators including the Environment Agency/National Resources Wales
  • Response / management of environmental incidents including fuel/oil spillage, silt discharges, and effluent discharges
  • Advice and on‑site training of clients on issues including ecology, contamination and waste management
  • Production of quotations/tenders for new projects
  • Management of clients and projects

Person specification

  • There is a range of opportunities for individuals with between 2 and 10 years minimum experience in the environmental sector
  • Able to deliver projects and work within a multi‑disciplinary consultancy
  • Able to work closely and confidently with clients and regulators
  • A track record in managing time and resources effectively and within budget
  • Full UK driving licence
