Join RSK Geosciences’ Waste and Resources team as a Senior Waste and Resources Consultant and take a key role in a team that’s setting the standard in responsible waste and resource management within the civil engineering and land development sectors. What You’ll Be Doing
- Advising clients on waste legislation, compliance requirements, strategy, and innovative management options to achieve sustainable outcomes.
- Taking ownership of and managing projects through:
- Proactive client liaison and communication as the main point of contact
- Maintaining client relationships and meeting client needs
- Managing contractual requirements and key performance indicators
- Ensuring quality, compliance, and financial performance
- Construction and excavation waste classification, advising on sampling requirements, undertaking assessments inline with Technical Guidance WM3, and providing onward management advice
- Environmental permits (applications, variations, and surrenders), including standard rules, bespoke and Deposit for Recovery
- Strategic documentation and policy relating to waste and material management
- Environmental Impact Assessment Material Assets and Waste chapters
- In‑depth advice relating to waste management compliance and legislation
Who We’re Looking For
- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Geology, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in project management alongside proven experience in waste and resource management including waste classification, with strong knowledge of UK waste legislation and policy.
- Experience in or desire to manage other team members.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- A proactive, strategic mindset with the ability to innovate and inspire.
- A valid UK driving licence and flexibility to travel.
- Based within an hour of Bristol / Manchester / Hemel Hempstead.
