The predicted salary is between 18000 - 25000 £ per year.

Due to continued growth in the topographical survey department, we now have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Land Surveyor to join our Hemel Hempstead team. The level 3 (L3) apprenticeship will involve block release to Dudley College and, at the end of the programme, you will receive your geospatial qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting our Land Surveyors in data collection through multiple practices
  • Topographical Surveys & Terrain modelling
  • Measured Building and 3D scanning
  • Learning to process data in survey software and finalise in AutoCAD
  • Undertaking any other activities required to help our land surveyors complete their works
  • Completing site documentation for site work crews
  • Learning technical knowledge to further develop into a land surveying career
  • Drafting data or helping finalise reports
  • Other duties that may include organising equipment and store room, van checks and keeping equipment maintained

What We’re Looking For

  • This role will appeal to someone who is interested in starting or has already started a career in the land surveying industry and enjoys working outdoors as well as in the office.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK at the time of joining
  • Strong written and verbal English skills
  • GCSEs in Mathematics and English (grades 9-4 including Maths & English)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Reasonable IT skills
  • Hardworking, flexible and conscientious with good timekeeping and a keen attitude to work
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to learn new skills
  • Flexibility to work away from home and occasionally out of hours
  • Pre‑employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test

Advantageous

  • Experience using AutoCAD
  • Already have an understanding of surveying principles
