Are you an experienced Ecologist looking to take the next step in your career, or a new and exciting challenge? Join RSK Biocensus to play a part in protecting wildlife and habitats across the UK. We are recruiting a tenacious and passionate Senior Ecologist to join our growing UK ecology team. You will be involved in field surveys, assessment, tender and report writing, and project management on nationwide and local projects. You will also oversee site work and undertake practical elements of habitat management under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing medium/large projects and tenders from commencement to completion and close‑out.
- Displaying a commitment to the work produced, promoting RSK in a positive light to clients and competitors.
- Managing medium‑sized projects, including finance, resource allocation, subcontractors, risk and quality assurance, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication, and seeking and responding to client feedback.
- Completing fieldwork, including out‑of‑hours surveys, travelling as required and working away from home.
- Assisting delivery of survey and research reports, including document reviews, statistical analyses, licence applications, reporting, etc.
Person Specification
You will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage a variety of workload under pressure. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear and concise reports, are essential for communicating findings and recommendations.
