Are you an experienced Ecologist with a background in Botany, looking to take that next step in your career, or a new and exciting challenge? Here at RSK Biocensus, part of RSK Group, we are recruiting for someone with a strong passion for Botany to join our growing UK ecology team as our new Senior or Principal Consultant. As a Botanist at RSK Biocensus you can expect to get involved with management and delivery of all elements of botanical field surveys, assessment, tender and report writing and project management. You will also be coordinating and undertaking a range of Phase 1 habitat and NVC/Phase 2 surveys.
Key responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing mitigation strategies
- Financial management of projects
- Production of tenders and reports
- Project management, report writing and delivery
- Managing and mentoring junior members of the team
Person Specification:
You will be technically competent and able to undertake the full range of Botany surveys, whilst having the ability to work independently and part of a wider team. Enthusiasm, energy and drive to develop skills and deliver projects to the highest standard, along with excellent report writing skills, including survey reports, EcIAs, HRAs and tenders would be key to being successful within this role.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Has previous, relevant experience in a similar role, ideally working in commercial consultancy, although this is not a necessity.
- Ideally holds FISC Level 4 or above.
- Appropriate membership of CIEEM (dependent on grade, or to have eligibility if not currently held).
- A full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle is required for this role.
Salary and Benefits:
Along with a competitive salary of between £33,500 and £56,000 depending on experience, you will enjoy a wide range of company benefits including:
