RSK Biocensus (RSK Group) is recruiting a senior ecologist to join our growing UK ecology team. Are you an experienced ecologist looking to take the next step in your career, or seeking an exciting new challenge? Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing and overseeing medium/large projects and tenders from commencement to completion and closeâout.
- Displaying a commitment to the work that is produced, promoting RSK in a positive light to clients and competitors.
- Managing mediumâsized projects, including finance, resource allocation, managing subâcontractors, risk and quality assurance, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication, and seeking and responding to client feedback.
- Completing fieldwork, including outâofâhours surveys, travelling as required and working away from home.
- Assisting with the delivery of survey and research reports, including document reviews, statistical analyses, licence applications, reporting, etc.
Person Specification
You will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, possess strong attention to detail, and manage a variety of workloads under pressure. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear and concise reports, are essential for communicating findings and recommendations. Excellent leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively or individually on certain projects are required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or relevant qualification in Ecology or a related subject.
- Minimum five years specific relevant experience within a similar role.
- Speciesâspecific personal licences are desirable.
- Associate membership with CIEEM.
- Abide by CIEEM's Code of Professional Conduct.
