This is a great opportunity to join a single-family office as an experienced, detail-oriented Financial Controller/Budget Accountant. This is a key finance role supporting multiple businesses within the group, requiring a hands-on professional with strong financial acumen, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management, budgeting, and reporting functions across the group.
Responsibilities- Managing the day-to-day financial accounting across various businesses within the group.
- Preparing budgets, monitoring, and analysing actual performance against targets.
- Collecting reports on actual results for each department within the group on a monthly basis and comparing these results with budget data.
- Preparing monthly management accounts and key management information for senior management.
- Producing cash flow forecasts and providing regular updates to the Directors.
- Liaising with all key stakeholders to ensure relevant financial information is distributed accurately and on time.
- Collecting and archiving management reports in an organised and timely manner.
- Engaging with banks and financial institutions as required.
- Supporting with bookkeeping duties as required, including data entry, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Any ad-hoc duties as required.
- Proven experience in a financial controller, management accountant, or similar senior finance role.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Fluency in both English and Russian (written and spoken) — essential for this position.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Xero accounting software — this is a significant advantage and preferred.
- Experience working across multiple entities or group structures.
- Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience in a similar cross-functional finance role within a private family office or group of companies.
