The Opportunity
The Management Accountant is responsible for providing accurate financial information, analysis, and insight to support operational and strategic decision-making. The role focuses on cost control and performance reporting, ensuring the business operates efficiently and achieves its financial objectives.
What You Will Be Doing
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Analyse variances against budget and forecast, providing clear explanations
- Deliver month end activities in line with the timetable, task list, journal standards and approvals
- Prepare month end numbers by gaining a full understanding of the business system SYNC to gain deep knowledge of the Goods Receipts and Accrued Income postings
- Collaborate with the RSIS commercial and FP&A functions to ensure clear reporting and analysis
- Support senior management with ad hoc analysis and reporting
- Monitor costs and identify areas for efficiency improvement
- Analyze cost drivers and support cost reduction initiatives
- Assist in maintaining balance sheet integrity by preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and directing the clearance of aged balances, and month-end close outputs
- Support audit processes (internal and external) and resolve findings
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes and reporting tools
What You’ll Bring
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Strong systems knowledge (e.g., ERP, planning tools, Excel/Power BI)
