We have identified the need to establish a Programme Management Office for the Product & Supply Chain Accelerator function, which delivers organic change across Product & Supply Chain globally. The PMO for Product & Supply Chain will support the delivery of both organic projects across all regional P&SC teams and business-as-usual change across the P&SC Accelerator function. This role is critical to the successful delivery of our ambition of becoming first choice. The role requires a passionate and driven PMO professional who can influence, drive, and embed change across the region and the wider organisation.
This position can be based in Corby, London, or Manchester and is a hybrid working role.
What you’ll be doing:
- Establishing and embedding the PMO capability for the P&SC Accelerator function.
- Driving delivery of the P&SC organic projects portfolio as well as business-as-usual projects and change initiatives.
- Creating and monitoring the P&SC organic plan, including resource capacity management and dependency management for successful delivery.
- Using data and analysis to proactively identify and resolve issues, removing barriers to execution and enabling efficient decision-making.
- Managing assurance activities to minimise the impact of issues and ensuring changes adhere to company policies and procedures.
Delivery
- Establish and lead the PMO for the Product & Supply Chain Accelerator function.
- Support the launch and embedding of the Transformation implementation.
- Manage the portfolio roadmap and establish a process for capturing new initiatives and prioritising ideas to drive the levers and deliver the Product & Supply Chain strategy.
- Develop a product & supply chain organic investment plan covering all teams under in-scope workstreams, focusing on outcomes, accountability, and targets.
- Build on the existing capability from the Group’s Transformation Office to establish core delivery processes and controls, supporting ongoing development of delivery lifecycle processes.
- Implement, maintain, and evolve key documentation, including investment plans, resource plans, dependency maps, RAID logs, and stakeholder engagement plans.
- Track delivery and critical success factors, troubleshoot dependencies and resource constraints.
- Work cross-functionally with the Transformation Office and other Delivery Units to understand, map, and manage dependencies and risks.
- Lead relationships and interfaces with the Transformation Office and develop a ‘business partner’ network across functions to ensure consistency in approach, tools, and reporting.
Management
- Manage the PMO team on a day-to-day basis.
- Provide leadership and coaching, ensuring team motivation and commitment.
- Develop and manage a talent pipeline for recruitment.
- Recruitment of permanent and contractor roles as needed.
- Collaborate with the Group Transformation Office and other Delivery Units to develop a Centre of Excellence for PMO capability.
- Develop PMO capabilities and manage performance and personal development plans.
Data Analysis, Reporting & Insight
- Own management information and performance reporting for P&SC workstreams, reporting to senior leadership.
- Create insightful metrics, monitor KPIs, and identify levers impacting delivery.
- Use data analytics to drive delivery, identify issues, propose solutions, and improve processes.
- Ensure accurate data provision from various sources.
Governance and Assurance
- Establish and improve governance and reporting processes across P&SC projects.
- Implement and oversee the Portfolio assurance process for control and risk management.
- Monitor and evaluate delivery through execution of assurance activities.
- Conduct quality reviews and advise on improvements.
Stakeholder & Communications
- Influence and negotiate with stakeholders including senior leadership.
- Act as an ambassador and champion for the P&SC Delivery Unit.
- Support communication production.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including the Transformation Office.
- Maintain a ‘Business Partner’ network for successful delivery.
Skills & experience we are looking for:
- Experience in a PMO or project delivery team managing large-scale, complex changes across multiple geographies.
- Extensive knowledge of project, programme, and portfolio management methodologies (e.g., waterfall, Agile), supported by formal qualifications.
- Knowledge of different delivery methods, including Agile and waterfall.
- Experience in developing and evolving project management standards, processes, and guidelines.
- Experience setting up a PMO from scratch, including resource and dependency management and assurance.
- Willingness to learn and participate in project delivery.
- Excellent planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and hold stakeholders accountable.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills across functions, geographies, and cultures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
