What You Will Be Doing:

  • Take responsibility for the definition, documentation, planning and successful delivery of an assigned S/4HANA workstream or project.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, assumptions, dependencies, RAID logs, resource needs, budgets and delivery options, aligned to the integrated S/4HANA Programme plan.
  • Work closely with the S/4HANA Programme Manager to ensure workstream scope, delivery status, risks, issues and dependencies are visible, accurate and escalated where required.
  • Coordinate activity across SAP functional and technical teams, business process owners, supply chain stakeholders, integration, data, testing, cutover, change and third-party delivery partners.
  • Manage project resources, budget assumptions, financial forecasts and delivery progress, ensuring accurate reporting through Planview and agreed Programme governance routes.
  • Ensure appropriate governance, quality controls and change control are applied to protect scope, cost, timescale, quality, benefits and business readiness outcomes.
  • Support evaluation of technical and process options, ensuring decisions are aligned to RS Group technology strategy, SAP S/4HANA design principles and business operating model outcomes.
  • Manage vendor and systems integrator delivery dependencies, ensuring actions, deliverables, decisions and escalations are clearly owned and progressed.
  • Prepare clear workstream reporting, SteerCo input, decision papers and escalation summaries for senior stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure workstream outcomes are formally closed, transitioned into BAU and reviewed, with lessons learned captured and improvement actions agreed.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience managing SAP ERP projects, including implementation, configuration/customisation, upgrades or transformation activity across SAP-enabled business processes.
  • Strong understanding of SAP ERP and S/4HANA delivery environments, including SAP functional modules, integration, middleware, data, testing and cutover dependencies.

  • Experience of working with business stakeholders, SAP functional and technical teams, systems integrators, managed service providers or third-party delivery partners.
  • Ability to translate complex SAP, process or technical detail into clear business language, options, decisions and delivery plans.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence engaging senior business, technology and supplier stakeholders.
  • Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to see the bigger picture and get things done in a fast-paced, changing Programme environment.
  • Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Planview, Jira, Confluence, Teams and Microsoft Office.
