The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Director of Margin Optimisation to lead pricing strategy and margin performance across the EMEA region for RS Group. This is a senior leadership role within our Product & Supplier Management (P&SM) function, driving strategic direction, operational excellence, and data‑driven decision‑making to maximise commercial performance.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead and develop teams responsible for pricing and margin optimisation across EMEA.
- Direct pricing strategies and margin optimisation programmes to improve profitability and commercial outcomes.
- Represent EMEA in the Group pricing community, owning tools, processes, and initiatives.
- Establish frameworks and cadence for identifying and exploiting margin opportunities using data‑driven insights.
- Partner with category teams to optimise procurement and cost price management.
- Develop and manage commercial tools and systems for pricing and margin (e.g., quotations, bids, tenders).
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiency through process and technology enhancements.
- Build a culture of transparency and high‑quality performance management.
- Provide strategic counsel to senior stakeholders on pricing and margin optimisation.
What You will Bring
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Financial Economics, or Econometrics.
- Considerable experience in pricing and margin optimisation within a relevant business context.
- Strong analytical and project management skills, with proficiency in pricing tools and processes.
- Proven leadership experience, including managing senior stakeholders and building high‑performing teams.
- Ability to influence and communicate complex ideas effectively across diverse audiences.
- Strong business acumen and customer‑centric mindset.
- Experience in international, matrixed organisations and cross‑cultural collaboration.
- A track record of driving business growth through data‑driven insights and strategic execution.
