The Opportunity

The S2P Functional Process Lead will work in partnership with the relevant functional GPO and will contribute to the seamless implementation of our new global ERP system and its ongoing contribution to business performance and transformation.

They will also be required to understand the integration between their own process areas and other connected dependencies and functional areas.

The Functional Process Lead will require excellent communication skills to ensure they remain completely ‘joined up’ with the GPO regarding the approach to and deliverables of the global processes in their functional area ensuring consistency and that all aspects of the E2E processes are covered.

You will play a critical role in ensuring that the SAP S/4HANA global template is correctly designed, understood, adopted and consistently applied across the EMEA region and broader global landscape.

The role is directly accountable to the Source to Pay Global Process Owner but will also work closely with the Regional Product & Supplier Management team and Global Shared Business Services (GSBS), alongside other functions.

  • What You Will Be Doing
  • Ensuring documentation fully reflects requirements and design decisions for the end to- end solution.
  • Engage and co-ordinate SME input from the different regions and process areas to ensure that the design workshops are effective.
  • Lead the work to challenge and investigate potential customisations (RICEFW) ensuring that the rationale & validity of local market/regulatory/fiscal requirements are understood, agreed and properly documented.
  • Act as a conduit back into the regions and work with the change network and local process owners to facilitate communications and business change activities.
  • Champion requirements and global template design through the build and test process – working with technology and broader P&OE teams to protect the integrity of the design.
  • Support the GPO to ensure that the final global template design is comprehensive, aligned to functional & regional processes and will drive the business value we have identified
  • Challenge the business on the status quo and existing ways of working within their E2E processes to ensure we are truly leveraging the potential of the system to deliver better more simplified processes.
  • Review process design decisions and address implementation issues and questions about project scope, ensuring sign off by the GPO as required.
  • Identify the steps and activities required to deliver the process design ensuring an understanding of the key processes.
  • Working with the GPO, ensure effective policies and controls are in place to mitigate risk.
  • Leverage working relationships within the programme and across business functions.
  • Develop communication network with Local Business Process Owners.
  • Support the OCM (organisational change management) function to identify key change issues or ‘pain points’ that we can proactively manage to ensure a smooth transition and buy-in to the programme

Skills & experience that we are looking for

  • Experience working on global ERP/SAP or S/4HANA transformation programmes.
  • Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
  • Previous role as a process owner, SME, or regional lead.
  • Understanding of organisational change and business readiness.
  • Exposure to harmonisation or standardisation programmes.
  • Operational experience in designing & delivering change / continuous business process improvements.
  • Ability to work in a changing environment & good at dealing with ambiguity.
  • Effective relationship building skills and proven stakeholder management skills.
  • Effective presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Building good relationships with Local Process Owners
  • Ability to lead fit gap analysis and interpret design impacts.
  • Experience working in complex, multi country environments.
  • Strong understanding of statutory, regulatory, and local market requirements.
  • Capacity to represent the region in senior-level forums.
