What Are We Looking For?
Our Mechanical Trades team is looking for a Welder to join our Muir of Ord facility on a permanent basis. You’ll work alongside an established team and be required to weld pipework and fabrications through the safe use of hand tools, machinery, and other equipment.
Some Of Your Key Duties Include
- Welding of various sized pipework/fabrication using various welding techniques
- Inspect materials and parts to ensure high standards maintained
- Safe use of hand tools, machinery and other equipment
- Assist other disciplines when required
- Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holder’s appropriate skill set
What Do You Need?
- SVQ OR City and Guilds Qualified in a relevant trade
- Proven experience within the engineering/fabrication sector
- Welder qualifications in either Stick, MIG, TIG or Dual Shield
- Capable of understanding weld symbols on drawings and/or following weld procedures to produce the required joint type to the correct specification
- Able to visually inspect welds to determine compliance with standards
- Full UK Driving Licence
