Owing to continued sustainable growth, our Chemical and Biological Treatment division is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join us on a permanent basis, and work as part of our in-house, multidisciplinary design team. You will take on a leading role in aspects of projects from scoping and detailed design right through to implementation, ensuring compliance with Client Specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on low-carbon solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee design aspects of projects from inception to implementation.
- Ensure compliance with Client specifications and current regulatory standards.
- Develop design deliverables.
- Complete checking and approval processes.
- Arrange procurement of goods and services.
- Prepare work scope estimates/quotations.
- Assemble contract works information documents.
- Consider project health and safety, quality, and environmental matters.
- Liaise with all key stakeholders for the projects.
- Implement project change control and programme requirements.
- Take responsibility as Design Lead on allocated projects.
Qualifications
- Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience of working in a multidiscipline design team.
- Experience of working at all design stages is highly desirable.
- Design management experience is highly desirable.
- Possess the ability to work on multiple projects consecutively.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
