Owning to continued sustainable growth, our Asset Management & Technical Services business platform is looking to hire an experienced Design Lead to join us on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide technical direction and leadership to a multi-disciplinary team, as you work in partnership with our Delivery teams to service the Water industry. The Design Lead will create and execute development plans across multiple projects, utilising their knowledge of industry trends to provide guidance and insight on how we can improve services to our clients. This position can be based from our Warrington or Dewsbury offices, with travel expected between both locations.

Some Of Your Key Duties Include:

  • Provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration across multiple client engagements from definition phase through to implementation.
  • Recognise system deficiencies and implement effective solutions.
  • Management of multiple technical teams within budget and project schedules.
  • Challenge others to develop as leaders whilst clarifying roles and responsibilities.
  • Suggest alternative technical solutions to meet client requirements more efficiently.
  • Participate in all programs relating to performance evaluations and career development planning.
  • Consistently deliver a high-quality service to our clients.

What Do You Need?

  • A Degree/HND/HNC in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a senior engineering position.
  • Preconstruction design and cost evaluations knowledge and experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in personnel management.
  • Technical competence with various water and wastewater processes.
  • Design estimation and cost planning knowledge and experience.
  • The ability to elicit co-operation from a wide variety of sources including upper management, clients, and other departments.
