Owing to continued sustainable growth, our Biological and Wastewater Solutions team is looking for a Proposals Engineer to join us on a permanent basis. You’ll be tasked with delivering detailed tender submissions, providing financial management support throughout the tendering and proposal stages, and maintaining cost performance across the projects for our leading MBBR products across the UK. One of the main focuses of this role will be to manage the entirety of the process, from creating and submitting proposals, to developing a detailed outline, and presenting the final document to the client.

Key Duties

  • Provide leadership on all opportunities relating to proposals, tendering, and contract review requirements.
  • Develop the proposal and tendering strategies, along with the delivery plans, for new opportunities.
  • Review tender documents assessing scope, risks involved, tender complexity, and provide feedback.
  • Ensure tender and/or proposal documents are dispatched in time to meet submission deadlines.
  • Price tenders in accordance with Framework agreed Schedules of Rates and Prices, if required.
  • Effectively manage the delivery of the completed tender pack to the client.

What Do You Need?

  • Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in proposal preparation, technical writing, and cost estimation within a relevant sector such as construction, engineering, manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organisational skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
