What Are We Looking For? Due to continued growth, our Biological and Wastewater Solutions team is looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join us on a permanent basis, to support the delivery and ongoing operation of our modular wastewater treatment systems across the UK. This role will be responsible for the commissioning and optimisation of modular wastewater treatment plants from mobilisation through to final client handover. The successful candidate will also provide troubleshooting and technical support for operational MEICA and process issues across live sites when required. Please note this position will require flexibility on working location, with accommodation provided by RSE.
Key Duties
- Support mobilisation and initial setup of modular MBBR systems on site
- Carry out process commissioning activities during plant start-up and optimisation
- Work closely with MEICA commissioning engineers and project delivery teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational and commissioning issues on live wastewater treatment sites
- Attend FAT activities and provide constructive input with regards to system controls
- Assist with performance testing, process tuning, and client demonstrations
- Ensure commissioning documentation and records are completed accurately
- Support final handover of commissioned systems to clients
- Travel to sites across the UK as required
Qualifications
- Experience within the wastewater or water treatment sector
- Experience with commissioning, operations, MEICA, or process engineering activities
- Knowledge of MBBR systems is desirable but not essential
- Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills
- Ability to work independently on operational sites
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in FAT, SAT testing and fault finding
