Our in-house design team is looking for an experienced CAD Technician (Electrical) to join our Asset Management business platform on a permanent basis. You’ll be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team who can offer guidance and support, as you work on technically complex and challenging projects within the Water industry.

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate electrical CAD drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
  • Create and maintain cable schedules and termination diagrams.
  • Develop and update electrical design documentation in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes, site modifications, and as-built information.
  • Conduct drawing checks and quality reviews to ensure technical accuracy and consistency.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of CAD standards, templates, and engineering processes.

Requirements

  • Prior experience of working in a similar position with a proven knowledge of effective Revit and BIM workflows is essential.
  • Qualified to HNC, HND, Degree level in a relevant discipline would be advantageous.
  • 3D modelling skills with experience of translating proposed designs into accurate BIM Models.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and proven implementation.
  • Keen focus on quality whilst also being able to work at pace within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Working knowledge of Navisworks or other BIM coordination tools would be advantageous.
  • Prior experience of working within the water sector would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • UK Driving Licence.
