In this role you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and maximising the value of an allocated portfolio of customers, including newly onboarded clients. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, improving profitability, and fostering loyalty by delivering exceptional customer experiences. This includes managing enquiries, addressing challenges, and serving as a reliable, proactive point of contact., * Customer Relationship Management: Develop strong, long-term relationships with customers to ensure loyalty through personalised solutions and exceptional service.

  • Cultivate trust through regular communication (calls, meetings, and correspondence), while adhering to a structured approach to client engagement.

  • Form and manage Client Contract Agreements (CCAs) where necessary.

  • Performance and Targets: Achieve GP (Gross Profit) targets and contribute to the company’s financial growth as defined by the Commercial Director.

  • Monitor and analyse monthly sales reports to identify trends, resolve issues, and address underperforming accounts.

  • Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities for accurate forecasting and proactive planning.

  • Problem-Solving and Feedback: Address non-standard customer problems promptly, providing practical solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Turn negative feedback or complaints into opportunities for long-term loyalty through genuine, responsible responses.

  • Proactively identify challenges, analyse data, and provide actionable insights to senior management for continuous improvement.

  • Sales Growth and Appointments: Generate and fulfil client appointment opportunities while delivering clear, value-driven proposals.

  • Attend and arrange regular trade reviews to ensure profitable relationships and address client needs effectively.

  • Follow up all client appointments within 24 hours with tailored written proposals.

  • Operational Excellence: Regularly communicate with customers to assess their needs, maintain engagement, and encourage loyalty.

  • Attend regular 1:1 meetings with the Head of Client Relations or Commercial Director to review performance, share challenges, and plan strategies.

  • Conduct quarterly reviews of Client Rebate Agreements and adjust as required to meet objectives.

  • Collaboration and Reporting: Actively participate in GBS meetings and collaborate with internal teams to meet shared goals.

  • Provide timely and accurate updates on portfolio performance and key metrics.

  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role with proven success in managing client portfolios, ideally within the tool industry.

  • Experience in achieving sales and GP targets while maintaining profit margins.

  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.

  • Resilient, driven, and results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement., * Minimum 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English and Maths), or equivalent experience/training.

  • Full UK manual driving license (held for 12+ months with no more than 6 penalty points).

  • Eligibility to work in the UK., * GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Pay: £45,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
