Shop Floor Assistant - New Southgate | £29,000.00 –£31,000.00 RSD Recruitment is partnering with a leading independent builders’ merchant to recruit an experienced Shop Floor Assistant for their New Southgate branch. Previous builders’ merchant or trade merchant experience is essential. The Role * Serve trade customers and provide product advice. * Process orders, quotations, returns and enquiries. * Maintain shop floor stock and merchandising standards. * Carry out stock checks and support goods in/out when required. * Work as part of the wider branch team. Essential Experience * Previous experience within a builders’, timber, plumbing, roofing or similar trade merchant. * Knowledge of building materials and trade products. * Strong customer service and communication skills. * Good IT skills and a team-focused approach. Retail, supermarket, warehouse or hospitality experience alone will not be considered. Hours & Benefits * 6:00am–3:00pm or 8:15am–5:15pm * Every other Saturday: 8:00am–12:00pm * Rotating 6-day/4-day week * £29,000–£31,000 + monthly bonus * 30 days’ holiday * Training and progression opportunities
