Logistics Controller £35,000 Monday – Friday (7am – 4:30pm) Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Controller to join our client\’s dynamic team. The Logistics Controller is responsible for managing and coordinating the efficient movements associated with customer deliveries, collections, inbound, inter-depot and events using in-house planning systems. This role involves planning and overseeing all aspects of vehicle logistics, including scheduling, vehicle tracking, inventory management, and coordination with service providers. Responsibilities As the Logistics Controller, you’ll create efficient delivery schedules that meet customer expectations and help ensure off-hired equipment is returned on time. Key responsibilities include tracking vehicle progress, keeping stakeholders updated on any delays or changes, and maintaining clear communication with customers to confirm site access and visit details. You’ll also support compliance by ensuring drivers follow transport legislation and complete required reporting, such as tachograph use and working hours. You’ll work closely with drivers, depots, hauliers, and maintenance teams to keep operations running smoothly and vehicles roadworthy in line with company policy and legal standards. Additional duties include managing documentation, processing third-party paperwork and purchase orders, and contributing to audits and continuous improvement initiatives. We’re looking for someone who is commercially aware, communicates clearly, can problem-solve under pressure, and is eager to keep learning—ideally holding or working towards a CPC qualification.
