Hours: 45 hours per week | Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:30

About the Role: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our Aftermarket team. You will carry out repairs, refurbishments, and installations on a variety of refuse collection vehicles and equipment, ensuring all work is safe, compliant, and built to last.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG welding and re-plating on HGVs and RCVs
  • Strip and rebuild vehicle components including body, hopper, and bin lifts
  • Prepare vehicles to DVSA and high welding standards
  • Complete work on time and to customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate records and follow internal processes
  • Promote good housekeeping and safe working practices
  • Work safely, using PPE correctly
  • Support quality standards and report any issues

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified in welding/fabrication (BSEN 287 coding desirable)
  • Experienced in MIG welding and medium-heavy steel fabrication (210mm)
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Skilled in building and tack welding from drawings
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and strong communication skills
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and physically demanding environments
  • Willing to learn new skills and travel when needed
  • Experience in mechanical/hydraulic fitting or RCV work is a bonus
