We are seeking a HGV Chargehand Technician for a fantastic business in the Hailsham area. Are you an experienced HGV Chargehand or Supervisor looking to take the next step in your career? You could be an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic that has assumed supervisor or management responsibility in your current role. This has an element of "off the tools" responsibilities that will also give you an opportunity to get stuck in to lead by example, where you feel it is appropriate with a view of progressing to a Workshop Manager in time.
Duties
- Support day-to-day HGV servicing, repairs, and inspections, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Oversee workload planning, support the team's development, and ensure customer vehicles are back on the road as quickly as possible.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 equivalent or higher
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and software
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Some management experience
